Abstract (EN)
The pressure on vehicle manufacturers has gradually increased due to the tightened emission standards. Manufacturers have had to concentrate their work on the exhaust system to comply with regulations. Studies conducted also increase the cost of the exhaust system. According to the international regulations, investments made on hybrid and full electric vehicles are increasing day by day to gain CO2 credits and to reduce the fleet average in vehicles sold. Considering the tax advantages, ease of use, vehicle performance and customer interest in various countries, the preference of electric vehicles is increasing day by day. Due to the relatively new work on it, the expectation of the user focuses on two problems: filling the vehicle battery fastly and how far it can travel with the energy remaining in the vehicle battery. These two basic problems pose an obstacle using of electric vehicles widely. Electric vehicle users are concerned about the distance to travel with the energy in the battery. For this reason, determination of remaining distance information is of great importance for increasing the number of electric vehicles. In many studies, it has been observed that additional cost-bearing features such as GPS and Navigation are needed to determine the result correctly. In this thesis, using only the information on the vehicle's sensors and the internal network, a new method has been discussed. Furthermore, this new method does not require an additional sensor or control unit. As the information on the communication bus of the vehicle changes rapidly, there is some high frequency noise within these information. For this reason, a low-pass filter used to eliminate the unwanted high frequency components.
