Nowadays, we face the severe environmental problems caused by excessive and wrong production. Ecodesign, a method aiming to delete or reduce environmental problems occurred during whole life cycle of the products, without compromising the quality, cost, functionality, etc. of the product, should be used to overcome these problems. The aim of this thesis is to provide an integrated simplified ecodesign methodology. The studies show that producers focus generally on environmental parameters in ecodesign, ignore cost and quality ones. They find ecodesign methods complicated and expensive, requiring detailed data, and use them mostly in late design stages. At the proposed methodology, to fulfill producers? needs, the most important environmental aspect and impact are first found through Analytic Network Process, a technique able to deal with interdependencies among aspects and impacts. Then, the most significant life cycle phase of the product is obtained by a simplified environmental assessment approach. In parallel, a three phased Quality Function Deployment for Environment is applied in order to get the ecodesign improvement strategies including quality parameters. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to weight the stakeholders? views. Finally, a Life Cycle Costing analysis is done and feasible strategies are selected. The application is done for hand blender, a member of electrical and electronic equipment, which mostly harm the environment and cause resource depletion. The proposed methodology contributes to the literature by not requiring detailed information about the product, being suitable for use in early design stage, by providing a holistic approach considering environment, cost and quality.
