Özet (EN)

In this thesis, treatibility of leachate was investigated performing 3 different methods. The first operation was carried out using with monopolar aluminum electrodes. After electrocoagulation process of 45 minutes in the conditions of pH 5 and current density of 75mA/cm2; the initial concentration of 4100 mg/L COD was reduced to 1766 mg/L with 57% removal efficiency. In the second operation, the performance of two different electrodes (Pt and BDD coated) was investigated. At the end of the operations held in the conditions of pH 4, 65mA/cm2 current density and 0,5 M NH4Cl addition, the initial concentration of 4100 mg/L COD was reduced to 100mg/L with 98% removal efficiency and %99.91 color removal, after 300 minutes electrooxidation using BDD coated electrodes. Additionally, the initial concentration of 4100 mg/L COD was reduced to 1000mg/L with the removal rate 76% and 97.2% color removal, after 480 minutes electrooxidation using Pt coated electrodes. In the third operation, the iron positioned with 2-3-2 hole configuration was tested. Under the advantage of using Response Surface Method, mathematical model of (y = -20.0528 + 26.1451 X1 + 0.583139 X2 -60.5524 X3 + 22.9433 (X3)2 -3.00792 (X1)2 + 2.63792 X1X3) was reached.
