In this thesis, four different experiments have been done to find biological effect of electromagnetic waves emitted from mobile phones. Firstly, the root cell of lentil exposed to electromagnetic waves through 48 hours has been examined under the microscope and investigated anomalies of mitotic cell division and mitotic chromosome. Secondly, to find effect of electromagnetic waves on different type of bacteria such as E. coli and B. subtilis have been exposed to electromagnetic waves through 10 hours then development of bacteria have been investigated. Thirdly, E. coli PKK223-3 has been used to find effect of electromagnetic waves on enzyme activity. Bacteria have been exposed to electromagnetic waves through 10 hours then enzyme activity of LDH production of bacteria have been measured and SDS-PAGE gel image has been investigated. Finally, E. coli pUC 18 has been used to find effect of electromagnetic waves on DNA. It has been exposed to electromagnetic waves through 10 hours then agarose gel electrophoresis images of E. coli pUC 18 plasmid DNA have been investigated. It has been found that electromagnetic waves emitted from mobile phones has different affected on mitotic cell division stages as well as have decreased development of bacteria whereas It has no affect on enzyme activity as well as DNA.
