Abstract (EN)

The basic purpose of this study is to compare the effects of the project basedlearning assisted integrated circuit programmer software and the project based learning notassisted integrated circuit programmer software with traditional teacher centered methodon performance and retention of students? electronic circuit design and development forelectronic education set design in the vocatinoal high schools.The sample of the study consisted of 45 tenth grade students who assigned as thefirst experimental group,15 students and 15 students as the second experimental group andthe other 15 student as the ?control? group of the study from electronic departmentlaboratories selected randomly from Akkapı Vocational High School in the Seyhan districtof Adana.For the study in control group as the instruction, the traditional-teacher centeredmethod has been done, in the first experimental group, instruction has been done based onproject based learning assisted integrated circuit programmer software, and in the secondexperimental group, instruction has been done based on project based learning not assistedintegrated circuit programmer software. In the first experimental group, the materials usedfor the integrated circuit programme are MPLAB and ProPIC.In analysis of the data, the techniques of analysis of variance (ANOVA) andanalysis of covariance (ANCOVA) have been used. Among the experimental groups, thereis no significant difference between these two groups has been found with respect to theirelectronic circuit design and development. On the other hand, for many steps of theelectronic circuit design and development have been significantly higher in bothexperimental groups compared to the control group where the traditional teacher-centerededucation has been done.Keywords: Constructivist Theory, Project Based Learning, Electronic Circuit Design
