Abstract (EN)

Although the origins of the idea can be found in older studies, the emergence of artificial intelligence goes back to the 1950s. Artificial intelligence, which has made a name for itself with the advancement of computer technologies in those years, has emerged as the most popular technology of recent times. In its early days, this technology was mostly used in conjunction with industrial production tools, but today it can be found in almost all areas of human life. The widespread use of the Internet and the constant uploading of data to this network by billions of users enables artificial intelligence to become increasingly intelligent through machine learning. As a result, autonomous artificial intelligence vehicles that can learn and make decisions on their own have become widespread. The development of autonomous robots has become a deal of competition between tech companies and has led to the digital transformation of human life. Judging the damages caused by autonomous robots with existing legal rules may lead to unfair results. Therefore, this study will provide suggestions for the judicial solution of new problems arising with artificial intelligence and robotic technologies. One of the proposed solutions is to give electronic personality to these entities and to manage their responsibilities. Apart from liability law, this new type of given personality for autonomous robots will be hold importance in many other areas of law. The main purpose of the study is to seek an answer to the question of which rights can be granted to robotic entities with electronic personality status, if the electronic personality status is accepted by legal systems.
