Electronic Learning Usage at Corporations and SurveyingEmployee Attitudes Toward E-LearningBaşak NalbantABSTRACTElectronic learning(e-learning) has been widely adopted as a promisingsolution by many companies. The trend of using e-learning as a learning and/orteaching tool is now rapidly expanding into employee training. The purpose of thisstudy is to explore employee?s attitudes toward e-learning usage.The sample for this study covers 92 employees, who had taken trainingprogram at electronic medium, from different departments of the company. Thesample was chosed by using purposive sampling.The research questions involve individual computer and internet experieces,attitudes toward e-learning and demografic information of Petkim employees. Therewere four questions about internet and computer experiences, fourteen questionsabout attitudes toward e-learning and five questions about demografic information.The collected data analysed through statistic analysis.The results are presented around three main themes which were inferred fromthe research questions. The first part includes internet and computer experiences ofemployees and the relation between internet experience and active learning in theelectronic medium. The second part includes attitudes toward e-learning and the thirdpart includes demografic information and the relation between gender, age and someof the questions of effective learning in electronic medium.The results show that; attitudes toward e-learning is positive and andaccording to the employees, e-learning is an effective medium for training. Thisresearch is a guideline for companies who will take training programs in e-learningenvironment and the companies who prepare the e-learning courses for training.
