Preferences about nahw in Elmalılı tafsir

The rules of language are decisive in the correct understanding of the Noble Qur'an. As a matter of fact, the different interpretations preferred by language scholars and interpreters sometimes reveal the possibility that a verse may come to many meanings. In this study, the comprehension effect of nahvi preferences in the language of the Haqqani Religious Qur'an, a tafsir written by Elmalılı in Turkish, was examined and compared with various tafsirs. In this study conducted in the special case of Elmalılı, the verses that the commentator thinks differently from other commentators about the i'rabü'l-Quran were prioritized and the different meanings determined were tried to be revealed. The i'rabi analyses in tafsir have been compared with the basic i'rabul-Qur'anic works before him, and especially compared with the i'rab analyses in the tafsir of Zemakhsheri and Razi, to which Elmalili is mainly referring. In addition, by evaluating the preferences of the author in the interpretation and the preferences in the meaning written by him, it was determined whether there is a difference. In this direction, the Interpretation of the Language of the Qur'an, the Religion of Truth, has been scanned from beginning to end and the verses that the interpreter approaches about the i'rabu'l-Qur'an have been sorted according to their subjects. However, not all examples were included in one topic specific, but a few examples were sufficient. In the verses that have different meanings as a result of different i'rab preferences, the opinions of other commentators are included first, and the preference of Elmalılı is mentioned last. In this context, the opposing opinions and criticisms of the commentators to each other were also included and all the opinions were expressed together with the reasons for the preferred opinion after being conveyed. Thus, the contributions and evaluations of the Elmalılı tafsir about the past accumulation have been revealed.
