Abstract (EN)
Purpose of this research is to determine the effect on job satisfaction, of learner focused training given to the active personnel of the General Directorate of Security at different ranks under the ?Course of Specialization in Improving Police Trainers?, and to measure the level of job satisfaction before and after training.To achieve this purpose:1.A scrutiny of literature and a preliminary survey of level of knowledge has been made on the basis of the comments of specialized personnel who have participated in the ?Course of Specialization in Improving Police Trainers? and have undergone in-service-training on ?Learner Focused Training? at the General Directorate of Security;2.Opinions of experts from the General Directorate of Security have been used in developing an instrument to be used in measuring the feelings about and level of training and job satisfaction;3.Necessary permissions for the instrument of measuring have been obtained from the authorities and this instrument has been used on 100 personnel who have undergone ?Course of Specialization in Improving Police Trainers? between 01.01.2006 and 30.07.2008 at the General Directorate of Security, Department of Education; and4.The results of the survey have been analyzed using SPSS software. Frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, X2 (chi square) analysis and one sided variance analysis have been used in analyzing the data obtained from the questionnaire used as the instrument of measuring. Level of significance has been taken as .055.Results of the statistical analyses have been used to make tests on the data relevant to age, gender, education, rank and years worked with respect to the personnel undergoing an in-service-training on the ?Course of Specialization in Improving Police Trainers? at the General Directorate of Security and no statistical difference has been found between them. However, because of the differences between the departments where the personnel work, tests have been made to determine whether or not there is any difference in this respect and the following results have been obtained:-Job satisfaction levels of the personnel show differences by the units they work at.-Job satisfaction levels before and after the training show differences linked to the training.-The training has been found to have positive effects on the thoughts before and after the training.KEY WORDS:1.
