Knowledge theory of Abdülaziz el-Ferhari in the context of his work named en-Nibras Şerhu Şerhi'l-Akaid

This thesis examines Abdülazîz al-Ferhârî's (lived in the 13th/19th century) conception of knowledge in the context of his work En-Nibras. This thesis consists of four chapters. In the introduction section, the subject of the research, its importance, and its purpose were explained, along with the methodology and references. Due to the enormous gap in Turkish literature, the first chapter is devoted to Ferhârî's life, works, and scientific personality. In the second part, his views on knowledge in his work were presented with a high-explanatory systematic. In this regard, the following subheadings have been established: possibility and sources of knowledge, definition and analysis of knowledge, and division of knowledge. In conclusion, the findings obtained as a result of the research are briefly evaluated, and the conclusions reached are given. Furthermore, it was emphasised that various studies should be conducted in this field, and some suggestions for the research process were made.
