The Tezkire of Enderunlu Mehmed Akif

This is a tezkire which was written by Enderunlu Mehmed Akif in 18 th century. In this tezkire, Mehmed Akif has introduces us twenty-three poets who was grown in Enderun. At the same time he has also given information about his life story. In Mir'ât-ı ŞiVs content doesn't part in poets who are in all category like anoter tezkires. Because of this propetry Mir'ât-ı Şicr is a orijinal work which is in own variety Mir'ât-ı Şicr constitues from six parts. These are introduction, four parts and last part. Mehmed Akif evalvates poets in out of introduction and last part. Akif classified poets according to Enderun's parts. These are: 1. Poets of Hane-i Hassa: Arif, Yaver, Nazîf, Rif ât, Nâşid and Râ'ik. 2. Poets of Hazine-i Hümayun: Şâkir, İbâdî, Nedîm, Ferîd, Nısfet, Fâzıl, Es'ad and Reşîd. 3. Poets of Kilar-ı Hassa: Hâmid, Fennî, Vâsıf, Feyzî, Ârif-i Dîger, Râ'if and Hâmid-i Dîger. 4. Poets of Hane-i Seferli: Râsih and Kâmil. In this study, we translated Mir'ât-ı Şi°r text from Arabic characters to Latin characters. Mir'ât-ı Şicr has got four issues. But we look into two of them. We also showed differences between two issues. Besides I made a short evalvation of this tezkire. Thanks to tezkires by means of which new poets will be discovered.
