Abstract (EN)
This study aims to look at Rumination and Worry from Schema Therapy Mods' perspective with the help of various models. The sample consisted of 825 participants. The mean of participants' age is 34,52 and its standard deviation is 12,59. 471 of the participants are female, whereas 354 of them are male. Participants completed the sociodemographic information form, Short Schema Mode Inventory, Penn State Worry Questionnaire, GAD-7, Young-Rygh Avoidance Inventory, Ruminative Thought Style Questionnaire, and PHQ-9. With the help of Hayes's Process Macro v4.1, Simple Mediation (4th model) and Conditional Process (8th model) analyses are conducted by bootstrapping 5000 replicates with 95% confidence interval. Worry plays a mediator role between Vulnerable Child and GAD-7, whereas Rumination plays a mediator role between Vulnerable Child and PHQ-9. In these models, the moderator roles of Young-Rygh Avoidance Inventory Subscales are examined. In the models, Worry played a mediator role, Avoidance through Sleep/lack of Energy Subscale, and Substance Abuse Scale played a moderator role. In the models, Rumination played a mediator role, Avoidance through Sleep/lack of Energy Subscale, Withdrawal from People, and the Psychosomatic Symptoms Scale played a moderator role. Multiple linear regression analyses are conducted with Stepwise Method to investigate Rumination and Worry thoroughly. The predictors of Rumination and Worry are found, and different models are suggested. The Modes playing significant roles in classifying depressive and anxiety disorders are examined to develop models on the syndrome-level formulations. The results are discussed according to the theoretical background of Rumination and Worry.
