Abstract (EN)

Exergy analysis has been widely used in the design, operation, and performance evaluation of various thermal systems in recent years. With an exergy analysis, inefficiencies in the system can be determined realistically. In this way, losses and leaks are detected, and the system is improved in terms of energy efficiency. Industrial furnaces are considered thermal processes and are examined within the scope of the first and second laws of thermodynamics. In industrial furnaces, a significant amount of energy is lost, so improvements aimed at reducing losses and operating with maximum efficiency are essential. The research is done at the Dönmez Debriyaj San. Tic. heat treatment department. In addition to tempering furnaces and other heat treatment furnaces, it has a significant market share in the clutch sector, both around the world and in Turkey. In this study, a thermodynamic analysis of the annealing furnace within the company will be made. By defining the mass, energy, and exergy balances of the furnace, energy and exergy efficiencies were calculated. The results obtained are interpreted.
