Abstract (EN)
The environment, financial and social ranges secured by the concept of "sustainability" which has begun to pick up significantly in each range of life since the conclusion of the 20th century, are the points that planners have come close to. In this direction, studies on both construction systems, design criteria and material selection issues of sustainable and energy sensitive structures are carried out. Building materials, one of the basic components of environmentally sensitive structures, contribute to the development of sustainability through the process of production, the site, the use and the recycling process after use, both in relation to the environment and in the role of energy saving as well as in the physical relationship established by the environment. In the light of this information, the selection of materials for sustainable and energy sensitive structures has been examined through selected examples of national and international literatüre.
