Abstract (EN)
After the collapse of the USSR, the formation of an international economic and political stabilization factor in Azerbaijan, which gained independence in 1991, has begun to establish an economic system from an economic liberal point of view for free market conditions to the present day. The signing of the "Century Convention" in 1994 increased the number of foreign investments made in Azerbaijani economy, especially to the energy sector. Since 2003, development programs have been initiated to encourage local and foreign investments in other sectors. After Azerbaijan gained its independence, it took positive steps in terms of political, social and economic growth, development and independence. One of the potential partners in creating Azerbaijan's foreign economic relations was Turkey in this process. Turkey and Azerbaijan have signed many partnership agreements both in political and economic means. In particular, contracts in the energy sector have an important place in the economic development of both states, especially of Azerbaijan, which is a young state.
