Foreign dependency in energy and the effect of economic growth on energy efficiency: The case of Turkey

Abstract (EN)

This study examines education in energy and economic growth and good nutrition. In the study, to work for Turkey between the years 1980-2020. As an econometric model, unit engineering (ADF, PP, KPSS) and ARDL are used in the Boundary test path. Separate results have been obtained for the short and long term empirically. Obtained findings; For the short term, it has been revealed that the increase in income increases energy efficiency, but foreign dependence on energy reduces energy efficiency. In the long term, it has been shown that foreign dependence on energy is meaningless, and the increase in income increases energy efficiency. Foreign dependency only negatively affected productivity in the short run. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain economic growth and reduce foreign dependency.
