Özet (EN)

The aim of this study was to obtain engineering properties of the pervious concrete produced with recycled coarse aggregate at different aggregate-to-cement ratio (a/c) and inclusion of 5% (by weight of total aggregate) of both natural and recycled fine aggregate to make a very sustainable concrete product for many applications. The research methodology concerned production pervious concrete with recycled aggregate at 3 different aggregate-to-cement ratios 6, 5, and 4. The water-to-cement ratio (w/c) was kept constant at 0.3. Single sized recycled coarse aggregate, passing from 12.5-mm sieve and retained on 9.5-mm sieve with both natural and recycled sand, passing from 4-mm sieve were used in the making of pervious concrete. Totally twelve different concrete mixtures were produced and each of the concrete samples was tested for dry density, porosity, compressive and splitting tensile strength, water permeability and abrasion resistance. The experimental results indicated that reducing aggregate-to-cement ratio improves overall performance of the pervious concrete, also adding a small amount of fine aggregate increase mechanical strengths and decrease void content and permeability.
