A research of Enis Batur's poems

Enis Batur, born in 1952, has been involved with literature since he was young. Meeting the literature at a young age, his productivity grew in time making him one of the most productive poets. Enis Batur has won many awards with his poems. Aside from being a poet, he is an essay writer, a critic, a publicist, and a novelist. The writer also published his articles in many magazines and newspapers. There has not been a scientific study about Enis Batur's pieces and their themes have not been researched either. This study, prepared as a post graduate thesis, makes a thematic investigation under the title "A research of Enis Batur's Poems". The thesis is formed of two sections besides the introduction part and the conclusion. The introduction is about the period od Republic, starting with its proclamation where the poet lives in. The position where the poet stands in during this period is emphasized in this study. In the first section, the poet's life and art aesthetic are explained. Furthermore, the poem's poets are studied as the main part of the research. The integrity of meaning is achieved through the themes of Enis Batur's poems. These themes that shape the meaning include estrangement, time, women, death, space, seasons, and music.
