Asbâb al-Nuzûl in Ensâb al-Ashraf

In this study, the tafseer narrations, that are the source of the revelation of the verses (Asbâb al-Nuzûl) in Belâzurî's Ensâb al-Ashrâf, were examined. The aim of this study; belonging to a different field, is to reveal the tafseer narrations in a work written to give information about the lineages of the people who lived in the time of the prophet Muhammad or who were related to the prophet Muhammad, and to reveal that the science of tafseer can also benefit from such a work. Our study consists of an introduction and two main parts. In the introduction part, the subject, purpose, method and sources of the study are discussed. In the first part, Belâzurî's life, teachers, students and works are introduced. The work of Belâzurî's named Ensâb al-Ashrâf is examined in terms of method, content and tafseer. In addition, in this section the definitions of the science of the source of the revelation in the dictionary and terminology are made and its importance in terms of the science of tafseer is mentioned. In the second part, Ensâb al-Ashrâf is first examined in terms of method, it has been revealed with which nerration notion he created his work (for example: حدثني، حدثنا، قال، قالوا the nerrations done with his notions) Secondly, Ensâb al-Ashrâf is examined in terms of content and the narrations which caused the source of the revelation have been revealed. This secition is the most comprehensive part of our work. In this secition, the taffseer narrations in Ensâb al-Ashrâf have been systematized under certain headings. In adition, in this section, the verses that Belâzurî mentioned in his work, which wer revealed as a result of an event of about a person, are given in a tabular form. Thus, it is aimed to provide convenience to researches who will ezamine the tafseer narration in this work after us. The conclusion part includes a general evaluation of our study, Belâzurî and Ensâb al-Ashrâf. In this study, the tafseer narrations about the revelation of the verses asbâb al-nüzûl in Belâzurî's Ensâb al-Ashrâf have been examined and it has been revealed that the science of tafseer can benefit from such a source.
