Investigation of the effects of resources of concerns on the quality of life of school-age (6-12 years old) children WITH enuresis

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of anxiety sources on the quality of life of school-age children with enuresis. Materials and Methods: The research is an analytical-cross-sectional type of study. The sample of the study consisted of 130 school-age children (6-12 years old) who were followed up with the complaint of enuresis in Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital, Department of Pediatric Nephrology. The data of the study were collected with the Child Identification Form, the School Age Children with Enuresis Sources of Worry Scale, and the General Child Quality of Life Scale (KINDL) appropriate to the age of the children. In the analysis of data; descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U, Posthoc, Tukeys' HSD, Paired Samples, Student t and One Way Anova tests were used. Results: There was a significant difference between the age factor of the children participating in the study and the mean scores of all sub-dimensions of Sources of Worry (p<0.05), There was a significant difference between the children's admission to hospital for treatment due to enuresis and the Sources of Concern for the Disease sub-dimension (p<0.05), There was a significant difference between the age factor and the number of siblings of the children and the mean score of the General Child Quality of Life Scale (p<0.05) and ıt was determined that there was no significant difference between the sub-dimensions of the Sources of Worry and Worry Scale and the General Child Quality of Life Scale, according to the sperman correlation. Conclusion: It was concluded that the anxiety sources and quality of life of children with enuresis were affected by socio-demographic characteristics, but the anxiety sources of children did not affect their quality of life.
