Structure and theme in Enver Mehmedhanlı's stories

Abstract (EN)

In this study, the stories of Enver Mehmedhanlı, one of the most important writers of Azerbaijani literature, were examined in terms of structure and theme. This analysis was made under six headings: point of view and narrator, plot, time, place, people and thematic fiction. While discussing the thematic fiction, the themes that come to the fore in each story have been tried to be explained by making use of disciplines such as history, philosophy, sociology, psychology and philosophy. In this analysis, social pressure, family, freedom and captivity, oral culture and tradition, the relationship between the people and the rulers, poverty, the power of fairy tales, longing for the mother, orphaned children, inconsistencies in people's behavior, women, love and affection, peasant-urban conflict, war. It is revealed how Enver Mehmedhanlı viewed the life and social problems of his period, based on topics such as, hope, rebirth and superstitions. In the conclusion section, the conclusions reached on the author's storytelling as a result of the structure and theme analysis are included.
