Dialect of the province of Ardabil

The Dialects of the Province of Ardabil deal with the Khalkhal Turkish dialects pertaining to the province of Ardabil. The scope of thesis is only restricted with the Khalkhal dialects and other dialects in the province of Ardabil are excluded from the study. Khalkhal is located at southwest of Caspian Sea and northwestern of Iran. In this study which aims to examine the phonology and morphology of Khalkhal dialects, the data on phonology and morphology of Khalkhal dialects has been examined by comparing with the Turkish language of Old Oghuz. Khalkhal dialects are categorized under three different dialect regions. The fundamental criterion, which we used as categorizing the Khalkhal dialects, is the present tense?s suffix. In this context, three different dialect regions are determined: ?éyr Dialect, ?ér Dialect, ?Ir, -Ur Dialect. When we evaluate it in general, Khalkhal dialects reflect the general characteristics of Central Oghuz Turkish as of the data on phonetic, morphological and semantic. However, Khalkhal dialects have some characteristics specific to itself with regard to some characteristics of phonetic and morphology. It is possible to list the general characteristics of Khalkhal dialects as follows: singularity and plurality 2. the pronoun suffix, used in the individuals, is always round vowel and becomes as ?su, -sü; the preposition, used in the negative form of verbal noun is döyr; for the personal pronoun of siz, süz form is available as well as being available of siz form, the demonstrative pronoun bu and vur- forms with plain vowels are also used with this for the bı and vır- words.Keywords1.
