Abstract (EN)
This research work; we tried to find out optimum cyclone design of Sinter Unit of ERDEMR Iron Steel Factory. Dust concentration measurements were made in Sinter Unit cyclones? inlet and outlet points for reacing the most suitable cyclone design. According to these measurements, optimum cyclone diameter was determined with regard to cost and efficiency. In the calculations, different cyclone diameters were examined as an alternative choice and with little cost but highest operation rate providing system is tried to be selected. Generally over 95 % efficiency was calculated in sinter unit cyclone design. But for the unit providing high efficiency with minimum number of the cyclone is important. Therefore 3 m diameter 4 cyclone or 4 m diameter 2 cyclone will be suitable for the sinte unit. n this work, it is pointed out that for designing a cyclone system, firstly cylone diameter must be calculated, by optimum cyclone diameter high efficient working cyclone system with little cost will be found.
