A research on ecological land use planning in the surrounding area of Erdemli

Dr. Mustafa YEĞİNThis research aimed to determine the ecologically sustainable land use insurrounding area of Erdemli, Mersin.The best method to reach the goals aimed in this study was evoluated that usingmethods developed by the synthesis of the landscape evoluation methods ofMcHarg(1963), Kiemsted(1967) and Dearinger(1972). It was formed a mixedmethod by taken the parts powering our study of that methods. Using this method itwas tried to expose the optimal land use directionaly sustainable earea using plan asdefine the agriculture, urbanisation, share recreation, forest and conservation forErdemli County.As a results, current land use of surraunding of Erdemli did not showparallelismthe of sustainable area using plan in this study. Agricultural areas in thebig part of the work area has been used for transporting as mestly housing andindustry. Additionaly, it was saw that agricultural areas tended to forest and notsuitable threshold area.As inventions from this study; in work area, may be showed positive results ofthe sustainable using at short and long term as doing foresights in ecologiccomprehensive area using plan.Keywords: Landscape, Ecologic Plan, Sustainable, Optimal.II
