Abstract (EN)

Atmospheric air pollutants are known for their effects on human health. Ergene Basin is under the influence of warming-induced air pollutants, especially in the winter season, and meteorology, urban settlements and industrial activities have an increasing pollution effect. In this study, the possible air pollution-meteorology-health relationship was examined in children and adults based on diseases related to respiratory and cardiovascular systems. In the study, epidemiological data obtained from hospitals in Edirne, Kirklareli, Tekirdag provinces and Cerkezkoy and Corlu districts and daily air pollution and meteorological data were used. According to the demographic structure of the Basin, hospital applications due to respiratory diseases were 214.369 and children received more treatment in this type of disease in the period of January and December. Cardiovascular diseases have been observed to have more applications for adults, and the total number of applications in these classes of disease is 106.820. The total number of mortality cases due to two types of diseases is 677 people across the Basin. Hospital applications showed intensity between January-April and October-December when the warm-up periods begin. The course of PM10 pollution in the basin during the year has shown a similar trend as hospital applications. In the study, the effective factor amounts of air pollution and local meteorology on respiratory and cardiovascular diseases were determined with significant results in the %99 confidence range.
