Investigating the relationship between friendship and sense of humor in adolescence.The goal of the study is to investigate the relatioship between friendship and sense of humor in 14 year ? old adolescents.This study includes 351, 14 year old adolescents in the 8th grade and living in Bolu, -in city center- in towns and in villages.In the study, ? The Friendship Relation Scale? , developed by Kaner (2002), was used to measure friendship relation and ? The Humor in Adolescents Scale ? , developed by Oral (2004) was used to measure sense of humor. In addition to these scales, ? Personal Info Form? , developed by the researcher , was used to obtain the population information of the adolescents.A positive relationship between sense of humor and friend relationship was found in participants. An obvious difference wasn?t found in friendship relation according to sex , sibling number, birth order and hometown also a meaningful difference wasn?t fonud in humor according to sex, sibling number, birth order and hometown.In addition to, when the relationship between friendship and sense of humor was investigated according to location , a meaningful relation between and friendship and humor in the adolescents living in towns or in city center was found. On the other hand, a meaningful relation between friendship and humor wasn?t found in peasants.An obvious relationship was discovered between sense of humor and the underlying parts of friendship like, reliance , loyalty, dependence, being identical.
