Özet (EN)

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to see how emotion regulation difficulties and parental attitudes affect the ADHD group that is prone to internet addiction. Materials and Methods: The sample of the study was composed of 82 patients between the ages of 12-18 who were diagnosed with ADHD according to DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, who applied to Dicle University Medical Faculty Child Psychiatry outpatient clinic. As data collection tools, the sociodemographic data form and K-SADS were filled out by the clinician by asking the volunteers. The Young İnternet Addiction Scale was given to form the groups and the DERS scale was filled in by the volunteers to look at emotional dysregulation. The data obtained from the volunteers were analyzed with the SPSS program. Results: In the group with problematic internet use, MDD comorbidity was found to be 24,4% (p = 0.012) and enuresis / encopresis coexistence was found to be significant at 9,8%(p = 0.040) compared to the group with normal internet use. It can be said that 76,9% of the cases diagnosed with CD in the sample were included in the PIU group and this result was statistically significant. It was found that emotional dysregulation increased in direct proportion with the increase in the Young's score and the severity of ADHD. In addition, it was found that the parental attitudes perceived by the adolescents in the NIU group were democratic at a rate of 56.1%, and that 20% of the PIK group perceived negligent (p = 0.003). Conclusion: It was concluded that the families of adolescents with PIU who accompany ADHD have more undemocratic parental attitudes and these adolescents have more difficulties in emotion regulation. These results support the hypotheses of our study. relationship between the severity of ADHD symptoms and internet use and parental attitudes.
