Abstract (EN)
The current study investigated the relationship between risky behavior, self-esteem and death anxiety in adolescents allied with demographic variables. Sociodemographic Information Form, Risky Behavior Scale, Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale and Death Anxiety Scale were used in this study. The population of the study consisted of high school students in Kadıköy district, age rage was 14-18. The sample of the study consisted of 244 adolescents selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was performed with SPSS program. Independent sample t-test, One way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and Spearman Correlation were used to analyze the data. In case overall difference found between groups, Tukey Post Hoc tests were used to determine specific group or groups which cause discrepancy. Based on the results of the study correlations between main variables were not statistically significant. Although, meaningful relations found between demographic variables and main variables. Results and limitations of the study were discussed.
