The reflection of the children perspective on the social events in the works Emil and Detectives, Fulpoint with Anton, Flying Classroom of Erich Kästner

This study subjects to '' children and youth literature '' which goes out being a subdiscipline of literature today and becomes a unique literature. Besides, considering the periods they were written, the books ''Emil ve Dedektifler, Uçan Sınıf, Noktacık İle Anton'' of Erich Kästner, who has an important role in German literature and who is an idealist and moral philosopher, were studied in the aspect of German children and youth literature. In the introduction are explained the concepts of "Child" and "Literature". The definition, importance, purpose, tasks and features of children and youth literature are mentioned. The role of children and youth literature in our lives and the linkages between these literary periods are examined. These are discussed in the direction of literary data by renowned Turkish-German children and youth literature authors. In the first part was given information about Erich Kästner, who is a representative of realistic children and youth literature from German literature authors and a detailed research was carried out. In the second part is given information about the history of Turkish-German children and youth literature. In the third chapter three novels of Erich Kästner are dealt with. In the works it is tried to be analyzed how social events are reflected in terms of children. The matters such as the association between children, having the characters in the works the exemplary qualifications and devoting the mother character her life to her child are presented to the reader. In the conclusion are taken into consideration the immortality of the works of Erich Kästner, the autobiographical items, the style of his works and a general evaluation is made.
