Erkam B. Ebü'l-Erkam's life and importance in the first Islamic society

Erkam b. Ebu'l-Erkam (r.a) is one of the first to accept Islam. Especially in the period when Islam was secretly communicated, he opened his own house to the service of our Prophet (saas) and took the possible threats and harassment of the Qurayshi polytheists and made a great service to Islam during this process, where the core staff of Islam was formed. This house of Erkam (r.a) called Darulerkam has an important place in the history of Islam since it thinks of a kind of madrasah for the first members of Islam. Erkam (r.a) was with him in the wars that our Prophet (saas) participated, and he became one of the people whom the Prophet (saas) trusted most. Our Prophet (saas) appointed Erkam (r.a) as a scribe, who could read and write. Erkam (r.a), who died in 55 hijri, is considered one of the important figures of Islamic History due to these features. Historians sometimes confused two Erkams due to the presence of another companion of the same name, and they were unable to separate one Erkam from the other in the events and services performed. In some sources, it is sometimes difficult to determine which Erkam (r.a) is mentioned since the name of Erkam was mentioned without the name of the tribe.
