Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the best process at the collar, cuff preparation and front placket sewing levels of three specified male shirt with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. The research benefits from the `Analytic Hierarchy Process? method by Thomas L. Saaty in which all criteria including quality and quantity can be evaluated together. In the scope of the research, as a matter of analytic hierarchy process method, a five-man group has been composed from the experienced and well-qualified personnel of male shirt producer companies in the city of Çorum. As a result of discussions with this group and literature review, main and sub-criteria effecting the aim of research and three goal-oriented alternative models as model-1, model-2 and model-3 have been determined and a research problem hierarchy model has been developed. After the development of research problem hierarchy, a question set has been prepared including the elements at all levels of hierarchy. This prepared question set has been evaluated with the experts. The data obtained from the question set has been reflected on paired comparison matrices. This comparison data obtained has been analyzed by Expert Choice program. In consequence of analysis, it has been obtained that the convenience of production process to the enterprise structure is the most important factor for the determination of the best production process. The front placket alternative of model-1, cuff alternative of model-2 and collar alternative of model-3 have been specified as the most prior alternatives as well. As a result of the study, a new male shirt production process that has been composed of these obtained prior alternative processes has been developed.Key Words: Analytic hierarchy process, shirt for men, production process.
