The analysis of the problems faced by the working women who have children of early childhood period

The aim of this study is to examine the problems experienced by working mothers with children in early childhood period. The study group of this research, designed in accordance with the qualitative research method, consists of the mothers having children in early childhood period and working in public and private institutions in Istanbul. In practice, interviews were conducted with 10 working mothers who are academics, administrative staff, and the ones in different professions. Data were collected using a personal information form and a semi-structured interview form, prepared by the researcher. MAXQDA is a program used in qualitative data analysis methods, and in many study methods such as Content Analysis, Case Studies, etc. In this study, the MAXQDA program was also used for the scientific analysis of the data to support the accuracy of the data obtained. In the findings of the study, the problems of working mothers were grouped under the themes of Family Environment, Information Sources, Child Care, Legal Legislation, Use of Technology, Working Conditions, and Motivation-Emotional Structure. Considering the findings obtained, it is observed that working mothers want to provide the necessary care to raise their children in better conditions for their cognitive, psychological, and social development and their education. For this reason, it has emerged as an important result in the research that they want to create all their opportunities and possibilities to devote more time and attention to their children.
