Modernization movements and conservative ideology in the early republican period

This study is about periodically examining and comparing the interaction between modernization movements and conservative ideology in the Early Republic period through the concepts of modernization and conservatism. The aim of the study is to periodically reveal this relationship by analyzing the interaction of the modernization movements of the period and the conservative ideology that emerged within these modernization movements. In this context, the study creates a conceptual framework on modernization and conservatism and includes the relationship between modernization and conservatism. The relationship between Turkish modernization and conservative ideology is revealed through the prominent conservative figures of the period. The interaction between modernization movements and conservative ideology in the early Republic period is examined periodically. In the study, it is determined that the modernization movements in the first period of the Early Republic period enabled and influenced the emergence of conservative ideology, and in the following periods, this interaction was mutual but increased in favor of conservative ideology.
