ERP systems and analysis SAP financial module and an implementation to a media company

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is the word that are used every day among almost all employees of the business world. Although the business world is constantly faced with this term, it seems that the academic field has a gap that doesn't have sufficient and directive informations. When the previous ERP theses are examined; it has been observed that the general concepts are handled nicely and can show some guidance to the companies, but due to the developing method and facing the new problems, these issues should also be taken into consideration. This work has been compiled under four headings. In the first part; What is ERP, its features, functions, advantages and disadvantages are tried to be answered. In the second part; ERP applications and the reasons leading to ERP implementation, the issues to be noted in this process, the mistakes made and the situation in our country tackled. Nowadays, it is necessary to do many more studies related to these softwares which cost TL million and have low success rate. During study; taking this sensitivity into consideration, the crucial points have been tried to be prepared to guide the companies even in the system search phase. It is thought to be a unique research resource in the field of studying this direction. Companies and Institutions will be able to analyze whether they need ERP by benefiting from this work, and they will be able to come up with possible problems in the implementation process.
