Abstract (EN)

Sheriyye registers are of great importance in terms of shedding light on the pe-riod to which they belong in many respects. In legal history research, sheriyye registers are fundamental sources that are indispensable not only for legal but also for understan-ding economic, human and social events. In order to understand the past a little better and to contribute to this field, we wanted to contribute to this field by transcribing the pages 47-100 of the Erzincan C55 Sheriyye Register and trying to evaluate it from the perspective of Islamic law. There are 4 known sheriyye registers belonging to the Erzin-can province. The register we worked on is registered in the archive of the Ankara Nati-onal Library with the cover name "Erzincan C-55 Numbered Sheriyye Register". Our research topic consists of an introduction and three parts. In the first section, shari'a courts and court officials are introduced. In the second section, after a general introduction of the history of Erzincan and the "Erzincan C55 shari'a register" notebook, shari'a registers and their characteristics are mentioned. Then, information is given about the subject headings in the page range we worked on. In the third section, the transcrip-tion texts of the documents are included, and a general evaluation is made in the end. Keywords: Islamic Law, Shari'a Court, Shari'a Register, Will, Inheritance.
