Abstract (EN)

Air pollution, a common problem of the whole world, can be affected directly or indirectly by living things. The main factors that increase the level of pollution: using low-quality fuel, irregular urbanization, motor vehicles, pollutants with industrial facilities, topographic structure and climate. Motor vehicles are commonly operated using gasoline, diesel fuel and LPG produced from petroleum fossil fuels. Depending on the properties of these fuels, the increase in the values of CO, CO2, VOC, NOx, PM released into the atmosphere at the end of the combustion process threaten the environment. According to July 2018 data in Erzincan a total of 58.767 vehicles registered in traffic, 47.3% of automobiles, 19% of trucks, 13.7% motorcycles, 12.5% tractors, 3.3% trucks, 2.8% minibuses, 0.8% bus and 0.6% special purpose vehicles. According to these figures, approximate 4 motor vehicles per person in Erzincan. Depending on the increasing number of motor vehicles in Erzincan city center, air pollution from exhaust emission gases is also increasing. In order to determine the level of this pollution and to take the necessary measures before reaching the level of threatening the environment, the solutions are produced by using the research and suggestions of these solutions are presented.
