Abstract (EN)

In today's modern urban life, shopping centers have become part of urban identity. Erzincanpark Shopping Mall, which was located in Erzincan in the west entrance of the city in 2015, was opened to service and created an additional traffic load as it is a center of attraction. The aim of this thesis study is to determine the problems and inadequacies in urban transportation by increasing motor vehicle traffic and mobility in parallel with the opening of Erzincanpark Shopping Center and to develop possible solutions and suggestions. The intersections on Halitpaşa Street were selected as Erzincanpark Shopping Center working area in order to examine the importance of inter-coordination, traffic flow and phase arrangements. In this thesis, traffic counts, signal optimization, travel time, queue length, delay, CO, NOx, VOC emissions and fuel consumption values at the junctions were investigated. From the results of the study, it has been seen that Yıldız Junction and Nedim Muradoğlu Intersection should be designed as modern roundabouts to ensure optimum condition. The second best case for these intersections was obtained in the case of a nonbonded intersection. Ergan Intersection, signaling, corpus and modern roundabouts in the design of the three different ways to determine the changes in the parameters were determined.
