Attitudes of secondary school students in Erzurum Tekman district towards physical education course

In this study, middle school students' perspectives on physical education lesson were examined and the results obtained were presented. Secondary school students studying in Erzurum's Tekman district in the 2019-2020 academic year were taken as the sample group. The research was conducted in order to determine the attitudes of students studying in general secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and private secondary schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education towards physical education lessons. In the research process 159 a questionnaire was applied to the student. The attitude scale developed by Güllü and Güçlü (2009), one of the data collection tools, to 600 students, consists of 35 items, 11 of which are positive and 24 items are negative. The questionnaire consists of two parts. The first part consists of personal information and the second part consists of the Physical education lesson attitude scale. The attitude level of the students in our study towards physical education lesson was found to be 3.81 ± 0.33. This reveals that average students have a high level of attitude towards physical education. Keywords: Physical Education, Sport, Attitude
