Abstract (EN)

In this study, we spot the lingual critics in Umdatu'l Huffaz book written by Semin al-Halebi. In which, he tracks some of (Garibu al-Quran) words which weren't mentioned by Ragib al-Asfahani in his well known Mufradat book. Similarly, he criticizes many other scholars' thoughts due to the fact that this was the last book he wrote. We categorized these critics according to the languages' four structures; sounds, morphology, syntax and semantics. Therefore, this study was divided into four parts; in the first part: we devoted it to the sound critics, the second part: was devoted to morphological critics, the third: for the syntactical critics and the fourth part was devoted for the semantical critics. Additionally, we prefaced the study with an introduction in which we spoke about al-Samin's life and accomplishments in the realm of quranic studies, the book of Umdatu'l Huffaz and explained the meaning of lingual criticism. At the end of the study, we summarized the most important points concluded from the study and added an index of the references used in the study.
