Abstract (EN)
The research aims to examine the new forms of inequality and new poverty arising from the effects of globalization and neoliberalism. The study reveals that social and economic inequalities, which deeply affect societies today, have gone beyond the traditional forms of inequality, taking on new shapes. These new forms of inequality can be defined through concepts such as precariat and new slavery, which are shaped by factors such as job insecurity, low-wage jobs, social exclusion, and lack of access to education. The study explores how globalization has integrated the world economy, leading to the proliferation of low-wage, insecure jobs, and how neoliberal policies' market-oriented approach has deepened social inequalities. Neoliberalism, by encouraging the withdrawal of the state from social services and promoting privatizations, has caused these inequalities to become more pronounced. New poverty, as a result of these inequalities, has transformed into a more complex structure, not only limited to economic poverty but also involving social exclusion and lack of access to fundamental rights such as education. Using the method of literature review, the study compiles existing academic knowledge to understand the new forms of inequality and examines the social, economic, and cultural impacts of these concepts.
