Abstract (EN)

The study was carried out to introduce "Çocuk Yıldızı" which was the last of the children's magazine with old letters to convert magazines with old Turkish letters to ones with Latin alphabets and to determine the level of contribution to children and children's literature with the text in it, in terms of form and context. The scope of the study which was carried out with the document analysis model consist of the texts in "Çocuk Yıldızı" which was issued ten times in İzmir from 1927 to 1928. Firstly, the full collection of the magazines were reached in Seyfettin Özege library in Atatürk University then by converting magazines with old Turkish letters to ones with Latin alphabets, related analyses on the texts were performed. In conclusion, it is determined that "Çocuk Yıldızı" is a comprehensive magazine which has rich content in terms of text types for children and the content of the magazine has positive messages for children, moreover, the magazine was highly affected by the policy of the period.
