A dictionary of concept field on the vocabulary of the Old Uyghur Turkish period

In Turkish language studies, works on concept field dictionaries a branch of lexicography have recently been popular. The objective of this thesis is to contribute to the studies of concept field dictionaries and on the concept field dictionary of Old Uyghur Turkish has been studied in this thesis. Other purpose of the thesis is to reveal the vocabulary of Old Uyghur Turkish which is very extensive. Latest studies has been followed for this purpose. The historical, social, political and cultural life of the Uyghurs were studied in the first chapter. The second chapter contains information on dictionaries and their types, concept field and concept field dictionaries and the concept field dictionaries of Turkish languages. The dictionary which is the thesis's main chapter is the third chapter. The vocabulary of the period was compiled from scientific investigations on Old Uyghur Turkish during the thesis stage and a list of concepts appropriate for the vocabulary at hand was determine. These concept lists are based on the main titles Universe, Human, Social Life and Culture. They are divided into subtitles that encompass a variety of topics in life from the whole to the parts. Nouns and verbs are listed together in the thesis due to the similarity of their concept fields.
