Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is, comparing the conventional ducted ventilation systems and impulse ventilation systems as technically and economically in underground car parks. For the cost analysis, a shopping center which has been established in Eskişehir is quoted as an example. The ventilation system of the shopping centre car park has designed by conventional ducted system. At the literature base of the thesis, concerning the conventional ducted system, publications of the market has been followed up; concerning the impulse ventilation system, technical documentations of the producer companies and seminar notes has been referred. For the cost analysis of the shopping center, information has gained from ventilation sector contractors? and producer companies? studies and experiences. In accordance with these information, a conclusion has been reached; as the impulse ventilation system which has not currently used in Turkey, is much more economic than conventional ducted system on the investment cost side and operational cost side.
