Abstract (EN)
The main goal of this thesis study is to devise an easy-to-use but effective shop floor control system to prevent capacity losses due to line stoppages, job queues and overproduction of parts. The thesis offers to use a dynamic scheduling approach responsive to stochastic demands as working under a pull type system using instant update of inventory levels. An event-based algorithmic approach is proposed for dynamic scheduling. Consisting of a three step sorting and sequencing procedure that considers orders, inventories, Earliest Due Date (EDD) and Shortest Process Time (SPT).
