Abstract (EN)
In the middle of 20th century, economic growth, globalization and technological innovations which realized with consumer demands changed the route of rivalry. Flexible working with variable and free structure, arised like a strategy comparent which could respond tough conditions of competition in these terms. Creativity term that lost its interest in the industrial revolution, came to the fore again in this forms. Therefore creative professions and creative industries which could process information and transform into value, come into prominence. Besides, industrial design profession takes part among the creative industries that play an important role in the development of the country. In this respect, it is important to examine together the concepts of flexibility, creativity and design, which have a strong connection between them. In this thesis, it is aimed to investigate the creative phase of industrial designer under the flexible working conditions. Industrial designers working flexible in Turkey were implemented the survey, in which they could evaluate how their creativity was effected and survey results were analyzed. As a result, it has been revealed that flexibility in terms of working space, time and management style has a positive effect on the creativity thinking phase of industrial design practice.
