Abstract (EN)

The concept of flexible working is a people-oriented type of work that has become increasingly prevalent in working life since the 20th century and has begun to enter the agenda of both employers and employees. With the recent global epidemics that we have been affected by, this way of working has now started to take a permanent place in many business lines. Changing working standards according to people and conditions can affect the job satisfaction of both employers and employees. In Turkey, studies evaluating both the concept of flexible working and its impact in the context of gender are very limited. It is thought that scanning these studies and evaluating their findings will be very valuable for gender studies in Turkey. It is anticipated that revealing findings on this issue will contribute to future studies. With the increasing demand for flexible working styles in the recent period, it is thought to deepen gender inequalities in this context. In this context, findings such as the deepening of the approach to identifying women with the private sphere make it necessary to address the issue in the context of gender. Examining the concept of flexible working in the context of gender and trying to understand it in detail may be important in ensuring that the decisions to be taken and the policies to be implemented in this context are based on scientific data. In our thesis study; It is aimed to examine the concepts of flexible working and job satisfaction, to investigate the positive and negative reflections of these concepts in the context of the concept of gender, and to analyze them from a broad perspective. It is thought that when women's social position and gender discrimination come together with the flexible working process, it has a largely reinforcing effect on women's traditional roles. In our thesis study; It is aimed to examine the concepts of flexible working and job satisfaction, to investigate the positive and negative reflections of these concepts in the context of the concept of gender, and to analyze them from a broad perspective. In this context, our study was designed as a qualitative study based on literature review. Examination of academic books, academic articles, graduate theses, congress papers, official data and statistics published in the field of flexible working and gender in different databases; It is aimed to draw attention to the results achieved in this context and to present research suggestions for future studies.
