Abstract (EN)

Blood serum samples from Iraqi patients with cardiac disease will be tested for the presence of paraoxonase-1 and another molecule. Paraoxonase-1 and other indicators such as cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein HDL, low density lipoprotein vLDL, aspartate aminotransferase AST and alanine aminotransferase ALT, were evaluated in Iraqi patients with heart disease. Heart patients at the Qala'at Salih General Hospital and Cardiac Surgery Center in Maysan, Iraq, will be randomLy selected for the research. After obtaining informed permission, a total of 60 male and female cardiovascular patients aged 20 to 70 years were recruited, with an additional 60 people in the same age range who seemed to be healthy as a control group. Compared to the control group, the findings of a PON-1, HDL investigation showed that the group of patients had lower HDL levels. This suggests that the decreased levels of PON-1 and HDL have a function in cardiac patients, as well. cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, and very low-density lipoprotein (vLDL) were higher in the patients than in the control group at P= 0.05, which suggests a role in heart disease
