Estimation of vitamin D level and other related biochemical parameters among patients with renal stone

The formation of kidney stones begins with the formation of crystals in the excessively saturated urine, which in turn sticks during inflammations in the blood vessels, which leads to the formation of a nucleus for the formation of stones at a later time. The current study aims to determine renal stones among patients with high or low levels of vitamin D3 level and decrease their risks to the kidney by monitoring biochemical tests and hormones that relate to renal functions. The present study carries out in Kirkuk city from October (2021 to November 2022) at Kirkuk general hospital, Azadi teaching hospital, and a private medical lab (Mustakballab.). The study population's ages ranged from (20- 70) years old.It can be concluded depending on the results of the current investigations the highest mean level of kidney stone patient was found in patients with blood urea and serum uric acid and the lowest mean was in the control group. The highest mean of kidney stone patients was recorded within the age group (15 - 45) years. serum vitamin D3 and parathyroid hormone were decreased in patients with kidney stones patients. All in all, positive correlations were observed between patients with a kidney stone and (vitamin D3, blood urea, serum creatinine, PTH).
