In recent years, oil resources have begun to decline. Along with this, it started to be directed towards alternative energy sources. One of the most useful of these resources are also ideal biofuel. In this sense, various oils are used for obtaining biofuels in particular vegetable oils. The fact that vegetable oils are close to the petroleum-derived diesel fuel is an important factor in carrying out these studies. Particularly in the idle state, the use of oils that are no longer used in food processing to produce biofuels is seen as an added value both in terms of environment and economy. In this study, biodiesel fuel was obtained with a transesterification process from waste cooking oil. The physical and chemical properties of the obtained biodiesel were determined by adding 5% ethanol (BE5), 10% ethanol (BE10) and 15% ethanol (BE15). Biodiesel and ethanol mixtures were tested at different engine speeds in a vehicle with a diesel engine. Performance and emission results are compared and evaluated with diesel fuel.
