Preparing a programme with the aim of education and learning in interactive -The model suggestions for distance education

M ABSTRACT In the last quarter of the twentieth century, one of the most remarkable developments related to television is the studies about interactive television. In this television concept, television audiences do not only watch the presentations (programmes or films), but also they can have a chance to direct them. Moreover, they can choose the ones they want to watch among many presentations. This development has effected distance education applications in which television has been used. Throughout the world, there has been some studies about how the students can be active using interactive television. It is claimed that this kind of education will cause more effective and productive results. In this study, characteristics of interactive television, its usage in education and its applications on Open Faculty in Turkey (with model suggestions) have been examined.
